The trails we walk

Many of our hikes follow beautiful rivers, streams and creeks — the Chattooga River, the Toccoa River, the Tallulah River and countless smaller stream and creeks.

There are many scenic waterfalls in this area, some simple and some more spectacular. Anna Ruby, Whitewater, Dicks Creek and dozens more.

Many of our hikes provide scenic views over the mountains and valleys of the southern Appalachians, from Rabun Bald to Standing Indian.

The trails vary, from some with a soft pine bed to others being rocky and rugged. Most are in forest areas of the Appalachian Mountains with cooling canopies in the hot summer. We even hike in the snow on occasion.

And lots of wildflowers from early spring through early fall — our reports have recorded what was in bloom on the hike day for over twenty years.
